Holiday Daycare Drive
Help make Christmas brighter for local kids
This year, McKenzie Electric Cooperative (MEC) is introducing a new holiday drive to support the people who care for our community's youngest members. Donations will benefit Wolf Pup Daycare in Watford City and Bright Minds Daycare in Alexander.
Donation deadline is Dec. 21
Why we're doing this
Every day, local daycare staff welcome children with open arms so parents can head to work knowing their kids are safe, learning and loved. Wolf Pup cares for nearly 400 children across its Watford City locations, and Bright Minds is growing to serve up to 70 children in Alexander. Many of those families are MEC members and neighbors, and some are our own employees.
Daycares go through crayons, wipes and paper towels faster than most of us can imagine, and favorite toys get loved until they wear out. This drive is a way for our cooperative family to say thank you and help restock shelves with things children can enjoy together all year long.
Each year, we plan to support different child care facilities across MEC's service territory so more of our communities share in the giving.
