How are Outages Restored?

outage restored

When the lights go out, our crews will be on it! When working through an outage, our linecrews first work to restore the largest amount of members starting with critical services such as hospitals, nursing homes, lift stations, and homes that require power due to medical conditions. They then move down the line to restore any remaining services affected by the outage.

With crews on call 24/7, 365, we'll do everything we can to restore your power as quickly and safely as possible.

To report an outage, submit a report through your   SmartHub app, or call 701.444.9288. Before calling, make sure your breakers are in the "on" position. Sometimes your home's protective measures will trip your breakers if it sees a surge in voltage caused by lightning.

The short video below illustrates how we work down the line during our restoration process.
